Geocache Description:

Helidocs Railroad History Series #13

This CNW railroad bridge over the Rock river was once part of a busy branch connecting to Madison. By the late 70s- it was part of a seldom used freight spur to the now defunct Beloit Corp. I last saw freight traffic on it in the early 90s.

I was very suprised to see that it has been restored to almost mint condition( sandblasted, painted, lighting, concrete deck) as a pedestrian walkway.
