Geocache Description:


The coordinates at the top of the page will take you to the car park by the Rangers office at one end of the Salt Line, there is ample parking, but please be careful crossing the road onto the footpath.

A flat walk on packed grit paths with one other road crossing where there is an incline. More information about the Salt Line can be found here. Download the Tale of Trees Self guided walk for extra interest, leaf rubbing pictures can be made from engraved plaques at certain trees along the route. So take some pencils and paper with you!

The path is excellent for both walking and cycling, and gets quite busy in the summer time.

1. At N53 07.122 W002 19.863 you will find a number of dates, this number is A.

2. At N53 07.04A W002 19.6A7 you will find a distance 0.Bkm
Alternatively, the number of letters in the last word on the brown sign = B

3. At N53 06.(B+2)A(A-1) W002 19.A0(B-2) you will find a two digit number. C is the second digit.

4. You will find the cache at N53 06.(A+1)(B-A-C)(C/2) W002 18.(B+C)(A+C+C)(B+C).

5. Here’s the twist – on the inside lid of the cache you will find the coordinates for a micro cache, this is not a standard micro! and also some of the clues for The Big Picture
i.e. A = 1 = Black.

Starting contents are: Finger paints, childs painting apron, 2 packets of coloured pencils (might be useful), craft stuff, car and some sand flags.
