Geocache Description:

Please note the new cords.
This Cache was redesigned as a key chain exchange. But please remember this area is good for Snakes, Spiders, and Scorpions and all kinds of other not so nice things.

This bridge holds its own place in early Nampa history. It is a story worth looking into. It shows how specution is needed in growth. The Rail Road was supposed to connect Nampa to Silver city.

While I was caching in the area. It brought me in mind of my children playing on the other side of the river long ago. So I thought I would place a cache there for kids.

It’s changed a lot in the past 30 years. You used to drive in next to the feed lot it looked like you were coming in to feed the stock. You moved rocks scattered over the road, and then you would have to plow through oceans of tumbleweeds that filled the road. The road has been bladed so much now that you have lost the feeling of being on the raised area where the tracks were to be laid. But round the corner and drive through the draw and there is no doubt. There it is before you in its full majesty. Back then the bridge was gertors waiting for the rail. Now it has a nice safe walking surface.
