Geocache Description:

This cache is placed along Highway 50 easy to get to but please watch for traffic when leaving. BE SAFE!!

This has been here over 100 years. I drive by here on the way to see my kids. I first saw it last winter. What caught my eye was a large stone like the Washington Monument, placed for the H.M. and Mary Simmons family. Stones for two of their boys that died before they were two years old. One on Christmas Day 1870. I have tried to find some history about the family on the net but got very little. If anyone knows anything about the family email me and I will add it here.
This is an easy find your looking for an orange 1qt drink bottle.
There is a place to pull off the highway just before the bridge. Watch for mud.
