pesky Micro-Caches? Want to be a better Geocacher? This is the Event-Cache for
you!
The Great Basin & Eastern
Sierra Geocachers membership includes the most experienced and best-known
cachers in Northern Nevada. That means there are no better teachers of the game
around.
The second in a yearlong series of educational (and fun)
Cache Events intended to give you the skills to be a better cache hunter, better
cache hider and bring you face to face with other area cachers you may or may
not know will take place at the Little Waldorf, near UNR, between Virginia and
Sierra.
We will also operate a session of “Rally School” for
the GBES 2nd Annual Navigational
Geocache Rally.
A mini-rally will be run from the Little Waldorf to a
Truckee Meadows park giving everyone a preview of how the rally will operate and
what participants will need to know. A simulated checkpoint will be setup at the
park to give you a chance to try a few Checkpoint Challenges so you'll be ready
for bear when May 20th rolls around.
Bring your download cables so we can dump the waypoints
right into your GPS-r.
The party is Saturday, February 26th at 1:30 with the
Little Waldorf's full menu for your dining pleasure.
GBES Admin members are presently gathering prizes for
drawings.
Don't forget to bring your Travel Bugs to trade with
others.
Children are definitely welcome when accompanied by an
adult.
