Geocache Description:

The Grand Union Canal links Birmingham to London with a waterway which is 145 miles long and contains 166 locks. This cache is one of a series to be found along or close to the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire stretch of the canal.

This cache is situated at a bridge spanning a tranquil section of the Tring summit level of the canal. It's downhill all the way to Braunston and London from here! There is parking nearby, and this road can get quite busy with people driving to the nearby village of Aldbury. Sit on the handy nearby bench to fill in the log, and you could even see canoeists paddling up and down, setting out from the boathouses opposite.

As with all these canal caches, please take care near the water, especially if caching with kids. The grass slopes by this bridge are particularly slippy. Make sure that no muggles see you with the cache and please do a good re-hiding job. Thanks.
