Geocache Description:

Beside a long distance footpath with easy parking usually

Viking - because it's on the Viking Way which runs from Rutland Water to the Humber - see also Viking GC (GC62D8) and Viking View (GCKK86); Lamins - because of family connections - see also Lamins of Shearsby (GCKN26).

Westborough is a small village with a 13th Century Church and so peaceful unless the wind carries the noise of the A1 about a mile away as the GPS flies but rather further by road. The Viking Way at this point crosses the River Witham which winds its way across Lincolnshire from South of Grantham, North to Lincoln and then to the sea near Boston as a navigable river.

The cache is a small snap lock box and was replaced and slightly relocated on 24th August 2008.

Mind the fishermen don't see you going for it and please cover it carefully after, taking care not to damage the hedge. If anyone sees you from the other side of the hedge, don't worry as the natives are friendly!

Then play poo sticks from the bridge over the Witham, or at least walk the few extra yards as it is a bit unusual - but be careful with dogs and children.
