Geocache Description:

Cache is located in a township park, level terrain, approximately one mile round-trip, and dog-friendly. Park hours, dawn to dusk. Parking is at N 42 42.325, W 084 20.448.

This is a relatively new park, with lots of nature trails, serenity, wildlife, and even a sledding hill. Bring the kids, walk the dogs, enjoy open-air nature. Park has lots of trails, and a handy pamphlet to describe its natural attributes. Enjoy the nice trails!

Pets are welcome at the park provided the following rules are followed to insure a healthy and safe environment for ALL users of the park.
  • Pets must be leashed at all times
  • Pets are not allowed on the sports fields
  • Pets must be cleaned up after (Waste bags are available at the park)

Update 4/21/2012: The nearby letterbox seems to have disappeared, so that's no longer a concern. What is a concern is that the grand old oak tree that used to shelter this cache has had two things happen:
1) It is falling apart, rapidly, and the nook where the cache once hid is no longer in the tree, and
2) The locals have taken to using the oak's limbs to shelter their nocturnal gatherings for partying, mischief, and muggling geocaches.
As you find the cache in its current spot, take a good look west at what remains of the grand old oak tree after a lightning strike ate its heart out in its prime.
