This cache adventure will take you through the wooded trails of Double Rock Park, in the Parkville community of Baltimore County. Double Rock is a wonderful wooded oasis within a densely-developed area, and features a maze of trails in addition to other recreational amenities.
To "solve" and find the cache you'll need to have a close look at three examples of a common folk practice that is especially prevalent in the park. We don't want to spoil it, so you'll just have to go and see for yourself. The listed coordinates are for the first of the three things you'll need to examine to learn of the final coordinates.
STEP ONE: Look for "97 - Forever". Just to the left of that are two names. Count the number of letters that are in the two names.
STEP TWO: Go to N39° 22.067 / W76° 31.364 to find "JW." Multiple the first two numbers he has for you, and make sure to write the result down!
STEP THREE: Head to N39° 22.104 / W76° 31.407 and seek out Jesse and Sharon. Look for the name above beginning with "H" Count the number of letters in that name and divide by 2 and write it down!
Now that you've completed steps one through three, it's time to build the coordinates for the cache location! Simply follow these instructions: The North coordinate is 39° 22.1CA, where A is equal to the number in step one, and C is the number from step three. The West coordinate is 76° 31.5B1, where B is the number from step two. Got it? Check your math and these instructions twice or thrice, just to be sure!
Now it's time to head for the cache, which is situated very close to one of the park's marked trails. As a matter of fact, your entire trek will follow the same blaze color trail. Use the hint below once in the vicinity of GZ, especially if your GPSr coordinates are jumping around.
Please be careful removing the container as not to damage the hiding system.
