Elevation 308 metres popular Tourist route subject to fog.
The nearest neighbour to this cache is the old home of Mr Larnach a 18th century Victorian castle, in fact the only real castle in New Zealand. It has been restored to its former glory and if you have deep pockets you can stay there in luxurious accomodation.
Although not as luxurious this Travel bug lodge is large enough to accomodate most travel bugs and the cost is negligible. The travel bug lodge is a 3 litre snap lock container and is hidden on the harbour side of the road,
The large size of this cache is ideal for the placement of travel bugs and is handy to Dunedins most popular tourist attraction. It will be a jumping off point for the next stage of a travel bugs journey.
The cache contains a couple of books and various other items.
