Geocache Description:

A fun puzzle in the Traverse City Area. The cache is not at the coordinates posted above.

Charles Whitard Sweasey

Charles Whitard Sweasey (1837-1917) was my great-grandfather. During the Civil War he served as a private in Company K, 98th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He took active part in the battles of Reseca, Rome, Dallas, Kennesaw Mountain, Peach Tree Creek, Buzzard Roost, and the Siege of Atlanta. He and the 98th continued on the March to the Sea and the Carolinas campaign. He was under fire several times in addition when he was not in any general engagement.

This geocache is dedicated to my great-grandfather and all the other veterans of the Civil War, both North and South. To find the cache, you will have to solve the puzzle below. The cache is on public land, and there is no need to go onto private property.

Good luck!
