Sometimes caches are hidden to entice you to hike to a new location - the cache at the end is just a bonus. This cache is more about the drive to the cache and the views along the way. Douglas Mountain road is graded and well maintained and any car can traverse it without any concerns (just be sure ya got good brakes for the return trip). Alternatively you can continue on Douglas Mountain road after you bag the cache to Robinson Hill Road, then south to Highway 46 to view the valley. Return to Denver traveling south or go north to again hook up to Highway 119. Pick a clear day to get the most out of this cache.
Cache is a clear plastic container about two quarts size so keep trading items small. It started with a very basic log book, penci & pen, a belt buckle, sea shells, kleidescope, various other goodies, and, of course, a whistle.
