The Naval Sports Complex at Ngataringa Bay, Devonport on Aucklands North Shore. From 1:00 p.m. 13th March 2005
Roll up for a barbecue and get together. A first time opportunity to meet and put a face to those cryptic characters you only know from cache logs and descriptions.
The venue has barbecue facilities (BYO food) and a bar with very good pricing ,which will be open into the evening. There is a childrens play area and there are even tennis courts available.
We are hoping to have special cache placed so bring the GPSr.
An informal awards ceremony is also likely to be on the program.
For out of town visitors there are numerous caches quite close to the venue and a lot more that are close to the approach routes to Devonport.
Come to this gathering and BBQ and you will be able experience more graphically correct nightmares as you dream about those responsible for some of those unsolved mystery caches.
Please post a message in the cache log indicating your interest and the approximate number or people attending, and if children are included as we may have a special hunt for children if many attend.
Note: The earlier idea for a meeting at Chelsea on the 19th was abandoned as we felt the facilities were to primitive and the lack of shelter making a washout quite likely. The Navy complex is not available on the 19th.
