A fairly easy cache along the pleasant WL Trail system.
This cache is in honor of my sister-in-law. Lise (pronounced “Lisa”) is an avid lover of the outdoors, a native of West Lafayette, and produced the interpretive sign along the Cattail Trail near this cache.
The cache is located not far off of the Cattail Trail in West Lafayette. You can park either at the Celery Bog Nature Center and get on the trail at N40 27.036, W86 56.146 or you can park at the University Inn and get on the trail at N40 27.556, W86 56.123.
The cache is a plastic kitchen canister. It is not a micro cache, but it isn’t as big as an ammo box either.
This part of the West Lafayette trail system is one of my favorites. It is both quiet and yet close-at-hand. I hope you enjoy the walk and the peaceful terrain.
