ElectroQTed: This was one of my most creative caches, and I enjoyed reading the logs. I don't seem to get out to hike this area with the same frequency anymore, so it's time to archive this one. Many thanks to all who have visited!

Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a mini-series in Kelso Conservation area. This micro (less than half the size of a film canister) is one of two you will have to find in order to locate the main cache “Kelso Series: Kelso Combo”.

I was originally going to make this a multi-cache, but since you may have to pay to get in, and you'll have a hike of about 6Km, I figured it should be worth 3 individual caches. Entrance fees and other Kelso related info can be found at KELSO.

To get to the trail from the parking lot:
In winter, take the pedestrian overpass over the railroad tracks, or the tunnel under the tracks. Head off to your right (SW) and continue along the bottom of the ski slopes until you are past the tube run (furthest slope on the right when facing the slopes). Here you will see a Bruce Trail marker indicating a left turn. You may take the Bruce Trail the whole way (recommended), but feel free to explore other trails as well. Be aware that some trails are mountain bike only, some are hiking only and others are a combined trail. You can download a trail guide from the Kelso link above.

After you have found “Lime Kilns” continue along the trail to visit Guy. There is quite a stretch where the trail is within 2m of the edge of the cliff with a huge drop, so please use caution here, especially if you have youngsters along. Guy is hiding out in Kelso, among friends, trying to look inconspicuous. He remains motionless. However, while his buddies are firmly seated in place, Guy is ready to get up and go at any moment for some geocaching fun. Guy is holding onto some information you need to find “Kelso Combo” and if you gently prod him, he will cough it up.

There is only a log sheet in this cache, so bring along a writing utensil. Part of the information you need to find “Kelso Combo” is on the log sheet.
