Geocache Description:

This is a multi. Will need a car as the sites of the clues are 4 1/2 miles apart.

You will be visiting some of Oregon's pioneers. This is a multi The first location will take you to the SW corner of the property. You’ll be looking for a marker for a Mr. Lucien Davidson. Take the last digit of Lucien’s year of death this will = A. Figure out how old Lucien was when he died. This will = B (B x 12) = C (A + C) / 1000 = D B x 3 = E Figure out how long Lucien lived from the time he arrived as a pioneer in Oregon. This will = F. (E + F) / 1000 = G The degrees of Latitude and Longitude will remain the same but the two digit, three decimal minutes of Latitude and Longitude will need to be changed as follows. From your original Latitude (45º xx.yyy) Subtract A from xx and subtract D from yyy to get your new Latitude. From your original Longitude (122º xx.yyy) Add A to xx and add G to yyy to get your new Longitude. If you add each digit in the full new Latitude you should get 16. If you add each digit in the full new Longitude you should get 22. Your new coordinates should take you to a very unique marker in two parts. Take the day of the month William was born, this will = H H/1000 = J. Subtract J from the decimal part of your Latitude. This will provide you with the Latitude of the cache. How old was William was when he died (using years, not months and days) this = K. K /1000 = L L-J = M. Add M to the decimal part of your Longitude. This will provide you with the Longitude of the cache. If you add each digit in the full new Latitude you should get 15. If you add each digit in the full new Longitude you should get 24. . Happy haunting , err hunting.
