Nocturnal Navigator Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Moun10Bike: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This is a 5-step multicache that is designed to be hunted at night. This could take anywhere from an hour and a half to two and a half hours. Enjoy.

Nocturnal Navigator

This cache is designed to be hunted by cover of night.
Bring a flashlight for this cache and a friend to watch your back.
Silence can be suffocating in the dark woods.

Park in one of the turn-outs along Heart Lake Rd and find the trailhead at the coordinates listed above. Do not park in the gated lot, it is off limits after 10PM. There is one big turnout almost directly accross the street from the lot or one of several smaller ones along the road.

When you reach the trailhead, shine yor light around to find the tree with three reflective dots forming an upside down triangle. This is tree 1 of 4. At its base you will find a small plastic card with a green tail which will send you on your way to the cache. Please enter the information in your GPS and hide the card in the same spot again. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE CLUES OR HIDE THEM IN OTHER CACHES. I have also added two single reflective dots along the course as hints at places where things got a little sticky.

Once you visit tree 2 return right to the trail. The trail passes onto private property a little ways away and there is a sign that asks you to stay on the trail in that section.

The coordinates are not dead-on (pardon my choice of words if you are stading in the dark woods reading this). The coordinates are only designed to get you close enough to the spot to find the reflectors.

The further you go along the trail, the more difficult it will become to find the reflectors.

The cache is themed with things that glow, shine or reflect light, please honor this theme and hide this cache from the prying eyes of the night.

When you are finished with the hunt, do not turn back, continue on the trail in the direction you were heading to get back to the trailhead.

Remember, walk softly and know that you are being watched.
