This cache was placed because as I was studying a satellite view
of the area, I noticed a neat place where you could see the roads
coming in and out of this location. It was really cool to see where
the buildings were and where the roads intersect. There is all
sorts of signs that this was once a working community. The cache
location has a fire plug, or hydrant as some call it, surrounded by
wooden posts. It was as if they didn't want anyone driving over
it.
The cache is in a small container that holds a pen and a log
book. Small trinkets will fit in here but not much else.
Please make sure you snap the lid back on tightly. Hide as you
found it.
Parking can be found at N38 41.016 - W090 44.012
Follow the road down the hill and climb the other side. The
cache is about 3 miles round trip. Mostly level except the
beginning and the end.
If you haven't done Happykraut's Another Tank, This would be a
good time to do it. You can bushwhack from this cache right to it
and save some mileage. Another Tank is GCMNYK.
Thanks to John Vogel, MDC, for supporting our hobby!
