Geocache Description:

Open the cache by removing the GREEN end, please!

Once again, a geocache has been placed in the Carillon area of Feather Sound!

The last cache, "CD Cache" lasted a few months and the one before that, Jose Gaspar's For Whom The Bell Tolls was a classic, innovative cache setup and a very memorable one in the Tampa Bay area.

Since this area is open again, I'm very happy to place a cache here. This cache has a simple setup and it is a small trading cache as I feel we need more regular caches in the area, and fewer needles in haystacks.

It's dedicated to all the "geofamilies" out there with kids who cache and like to trade things! It's a good size for Travel Bugs as well.
This should be a quick in and out cache but I didn't place it here just for that. Take some time to walk the boardwalks and see the area, if you've never been back here. It's very scenic. There are two caches nearby, if you haven't found them yet, go for it!

The best place to park is probably the Publix nearby as the parking garage does have signs saying "No Trespassing". That's up to you.

I rated it at *1/2 because of some tree coverage and difficulty getting a consistent reading.
As for snakes around a cache it's Florida, that is going to happen from time to time. There are signs in the area warning of wild critters. You shouldn't reach with your hands, but use a stick to probe the area FIRST. I've never seen a snake in this cache area but there ARE GATORS in the lake so what's one reptile to another. Although there is nothing better than a GATOR because "if you aint a GATOR, you must be GATOR BAIT!"
