This short multicache starts from the car park at Trinity Hill ( co-ordinates above ) and comprises of a micro with a small box to finish.Car to car less than 30 minutes.
Trinity Hill heathland is situated two miles south-east of Axminster straddling a minor road joining the A3052 and the A35. The Reserve is of mainly acidic lowland heath and bracken. It is comprised of a capping of clay-with-flints and chert (in part Eocene) overlying Cretaceous Upper Greensand. This geology is characteristic of the hills in East Devon, east of the rivers Tale and Otter.
Several nationally rare or scarce species of birds occur on the heath including the Nightjar and Dartford Warbler. Snipe are common and I would be surprised if you do not see buzzards.
The micro is now at N50:45:567 W002:59:061
