The Black Pearl Of Pirates Cove Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

red hat grammy: Too far away to maintain at this time. When checking, we found the pearl in leaves below the sign, which is still there. Oldest entry was 2017! It has been there since 2005, washed away and replaced then and several other times. Since there is now another in the park which will bring others to see this"gem" we have decicded to archive it. Thanks for all the visits!

Geocache Description:

Located in a county park accessible by land or water.

This is a "jewel" of a park. It has picnic tables and several small piers-you can moor your boat and picnic too. Grills are available also. Pirates Cove-has a nice sound doesn't it? Brings to mind thought s of treasure and excitement! This treasure was probably washed in from the booty of the infamous pirate "Calico Jack Rackham." He was a real pirate who reportedly hid some treasure in the limestone caverns of Florida-never found they say. There is a great deal of information about him in books and the internet. This cache has been set awash by a hurricane and replaced-plundered by lumber chewing rascals-replaced and slipped from her moooring at a bridge. The only thing left of her treasures is a very small black pearl. So...BYOP and keep her logged!
