Geocache Description:

Thing One - PLEASE REPLACE THIS CACHE AS FOUND. IF IT IS NOT REPLACED PROPERLY IT IS VULNERABLE TO BEING FOUND BY NON-GEOCACHERS.
Thing One is a small cache and a log. You can trade small items from this cache. It is a small Lock N Lock (4x3x3).

Thing One is a cache placed in a popular walking area located for easy access when travelling. Thing One has two waypoints for parking, access from the first waypoint is a 1, no elevation changes and on a paved path. Waypoint 2 is a longer walk with some elevation changes but is also on a paved path, a 1.5. Waypoint 2 is located beside a campground and near the highway where all services are available. Access to waypoint 1 is from Highway 3, access to Waypoint 2 is from the Trans Canada highway.
Thing One is located in an off leash area so you can walk your dog.
Signs warn of steep cliffs so staying on the path is advised.

Thing One contains a laminated list with several urban and park waypoints. Both of the parking waypoints offer a walk in a natural area near the South Saskatchewan River. This cache is winter accessible from both waypoints. Thing One provides a place to sit and sign the log and a spectacular view of the South Saskatchewan River Valley. Expect to see other people walking dogs and just hiking, you should not have a problem with non-geocachers observing, it is not a busy walkway. You may encounter rattlesnakes when walking anywhere around Medicine Hat, they are not common but they are not unusual.
It is important to replace Thing One where it was found, the next geocacher is relying on that happening so they can complete their search successfully. Please let others know how you feel about this cache by making an entry in the online log here on geocaching.com.
