Part of the Rainbow series to find the Pot of Gold. To get to the Pot Of Gold you must follow the rainbow by visiting all of its colours (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet) beginning at red. For all the caches, apart from the Red cache, the given co-ordinates are the parking co-ordinates. The true co-ordinates for the caches are given to you in the previous cache. Inside the Red cache you will find the true co-ordinates of Orange, inside the Orange cache you will find the true co-ordinates of Yellow and so on until you reach Violet. Inside Violet is the equation required to get the true co-ordinates of the Pot of Gold.
Also inside each colour cache is a number. You need this number and the colour it came from to work out the co-ordinates of the Pot of Gold. All colour caches are micro caches (film canisters) containing information for the following colour and a log sheet and pencil. Please do not remove the information sheet otherwise cachers behind you will not be able to follow the rainbow. The Pot of Gold is a regular sized sandwich box containing goodies.
The Yellow cache can be found at the co-ordinates given to you in the Orange cache. The location of the cache does not require you to go close to the edge. This site is not accessible to buggies or wheelchair users although you maybe able to get a buggy there in the summer if it’s not too muddy. On the subject of mud, we recommend boots especially in winter!!
