The Pot Of Gold at the end of the Rainbow. To get to the Pot Of Gold you must follow the rainbow by visiting all of its colours (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet) beginning at red. For all the caches, apart from the Red cache, the given co-ordinates are the parking co-ordinates. The true co-ordinates for the caches are given to you in the previous cache. Inside the Red cache you will find the true co-ordinates of Orange, inside the Orange cache you will find the true co-ordinates of Yellow and so on until you reach Violet. Inside Violet is the equation required to get the true co-ordinates of the Pot of Gold.
Also inside each colour cache is a number. You need this number and the colour it came from to work out the co-ordinates of the Pot of Gold. All colour caches are micro caches (film canisters) containing information for the following colour and a log sheet and pencil. Please do not remove the information sheet otherwise cachers behind you will not be able to follow the rainbow. The Pot of Gold is a regular sized sandwich box containing goodies and a FTF certificate.
To describe the area as suffering from weak GPS signals would be an understatement. I have visited the site on numerous occasions and averaged my readings. Who said finding the Pot Of Gold at the end of the rainbow would be easy! This site is not accessible to wheelchair users. If you are prepared to carry a buggy down about 20 steps then it is accessible to buggies. It can get muddy so boots are recommended, especially in winter!
