Geocache Description:

This is your chance to see the Axe valley from the east side. The views from here are wonderful. You can see right up the valley to Axminster and down to the sea and the white cliffs of Beer Head.

Axe View II: Musbury

By seeking this or any other cache placed by myself or maintained by me you accept responsibility for your own safety. Caching can be dangerous. Assess the risk for yourself before seeking this cache!

Recommended free parking is at N50°44.894, W003°00.854 where there is room for a few cars at the side of the road. The cache is above the village of Musbury whose church dates back to the 15th Century.

The cache is a camouflaged ammo box, and when hidden contained the usual assortment of new items that you might expect to find in a Stuey cache.

After you have found the cache, you can continue walking south and you will find yourself at Musbury Castle, an iron age hill fort which happens to be home to Chrisgs's Musbury Castle cache.

Be careful when driving around these lanes. They are narrow and winding, so be on the lookout for other road users, whether they be cars, tractors, people or sheep!

Don't forget to make a note of the letters in the back of the log book. You'll need these for the final cache in the series, Axe View: Can you sea the end?.
