Another Bernheim cache. Weekdays free, weekends $5.00 per car. Members are always free.
This cache (an ammo can) is out in the woods on a new trail at the bottom of Bernheim called Knob Top Trail. When you enter Bernheim past the guard building go to the left and you will see a small parking area on the right at the beginning of the Holly section. Walk towards the new visitors center and just keep looking left and you will see the trail. You will see a wooden trailhead. After finding the cache you may continue on the trail and it brings you back to the road and your car.
This cache was placed in the winter so there was no foliage and it may be difficult to get readings when the trees are in full swing. The cache is located about 30 to 40 feet off the trail.
There is an Eisenhower silver dollar and new cache button for the “First To Find”
There are over 100 caches now in Bernheim.
