Hounds of the Baskervilles Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lactodorum: Hi, this looks suspiciously like the cache has gone. Could the owner please undertake a maintenance visit to check if it's there or not. In the meantime I'm archiving it but I'll happily consider unarchiving it if/when it's found assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Thanks, Lactodorum

Geocache Description:

We have named this cache for our "hound", Hector - an 8 month old Irish Wolfhound that adores this spot. The location is on one of the three routes we normally walk near our house, so there is a good chance you will see us on your hunt - please feel free to come up and say hi. (postscript note: we have changed the name to hounds as we have adopted another wolfhound, "Willow" - bringing us up to a brace. Please still feel free to come up and say hello... Both dogs are very people friendly - though large)

You can park at the Quarry 52 35.766N 001 41.271W (on dive days - the parking lot is open), or at the old Norman chapel. Getting in and out can be as easy or hard as you like. Suffice to say, there is a wandering trail that gets you there (though you might want to wear wellies).

There is also a fabulous view from the big hill overlooking the area (if you look up from the cache, you can see this hill across the waters).

The village was originally named for the deer that lived on the hunting preserve (Dost Hill).

Original contents of cache:

Key chain from San Antonio, Texas (remember the alamo)
a bubble maker (tube and blower)
a pokeman card from my son
TB - Emily County Counter

We also placed a small disposable camera in the cache. Please take a picture of yourself and place it back. We will develop them at the end and put them here.
