Geocache Description:

Located in Franklin Mills Riveredge park. Very nice faux dam!

The park is finally open! The major construction is over and the result is great. The EPA required Kent to remove the old dam to improve the quality of the middle Cuyahoga river. This project is unique because the dam has historic significance to the City of Kent, and the result is that the historic dam remains but the river is free to flow. The "dam" now has water pumped into a channel located at the top and it flows over the edifice to give the appearance of a dam, without the ecologic impact. The end result looks pretty ""dam" nice! This cache is within arms length from the walkway on the upper level. Take time to check the area out. Aside from some graffiti, it's nice. Be sure to bring a pen or pencil to sign the log.
