Brindley Bottom Traditional Cache
Apiglet: The cache site has gone but the area is still theoretically accessible and lovely. However, the bridge has so many planks missing that I don't feel I should encourage people to visit.
It is still possible to follow footpaths in the area, as it is nobbut a step to walk round the water.

Another cache on Cannock Chase! If you park near the Visitors Centre (N52 44.131 W001.59.749) there are toilets, a café, shop and information room, but you have to pay for the car park. There are free parking spots dotted about here too, the nearest being N52 44.179 W001 59.942 (we checked and it really is the nearest. And the nicest.) The paths are wheelchair/buggy friendly.
Enjoy wandering along the paths to the cache. There are plenty of seats – take a picnic!
It’s a very popular area and there isn’t much cover here while you write in the log, so maybe that picnic is a good idea, or perhaps a stone in your shoe.
You are *** NO LONGER *** looking for a large ammo tin, containing an assortment of goodies and wrapped in a black plastic bag for disguise.
The cache is *** NOT ANY LONGER *** (15.04.07) relocated slightly, following two disappearances (one wet and temporary, the other permanent). It is now a small lock-lid plastic box wrapped in green plastic.
As of 26.07.10 the cache is a long thin micro, big enough for a full sized IKEA pencil but not big enough for anything else, hidden right next to the path.
As of 10.01.18 the cache is still a long thin micro next to the path but ....
PLEASE REPLACE IT SO THAT THE DEVICE IS OUT OF SIGHT.
