A micro in the birthplace of the game of Rugby
This is the first cache placed in my hometown. Although hidden from prying eyes this micro should be really easy to find. If you are waiting for your GPSr to be delivered you could still attempt this one.
I recommend parking in one of many local parking places before setting off. It is a busy place so take care not to be seen.
Just a stones throw from the very spot the game of Rugby was invented and even closer to the place that holds the history and has been making the balls since the beginning.
In view is the school where William Webb Ellis aged 16 in 1823 picked up the ball during a game of soccer and ran. For a short while after, chaos ensued as before proper rules were formed the game was a free for all with anything up to one hundred players each side.
Incidentally, the story of 'Tom Browns School Days' was based on this school and it is believed Lewis Carroll, a pupil, started pencilling the book 'Alice In Wonderland'.
The original contents are a notebook and pencil, a plectrum used on stage by Meal Loaf, a silver bracelet and some miniture clothes pegs.
NOTE: (I understand that this log book is full but am currently unavailable to re-new it. If anyone would like to do so please be my guest. Cheers.)
