A beautiful spot for a cache. Watch for ducks, coyotes, rabbits, owls and other wildlife around the ponds.
I placed this cache in a beautiful spot along the highline canal. There are several trails that go off the highline that will take you along the ponds. Being as there are many, many (did I say many?) muggles on the trail I put this in a secluded area. You have to bushwack a few yards off the trail but it is not difficult. You can get to the cache form 2 directions. If the North side trail is flooded then with a little simple trail finding you can go the long way around the pond and come in from the South side. This is about a 1.25 mile walk from the nearest parking lot / trailhead. Be sure to bring your own pen. June 20, 2010 update. I replaced the old cache box with a new and improved version (waaaay better cache box now) and upped the terrain difficulty due to the hike from the parking lot and a little route finding around the pond.
