Geocache Description:

Max. to Min., a cache set in tribute to two local geocachers who have put a lot of work in to their various caches and have given me enormous pleasure recently. I have tried to set the cache as near to halfway between “Max” and “Minimise” as I can, so, it is truly an average cache!

Max. to min. also applies to the whole cache site!

The cache is set on Hensbarrow Beacon, once an important summit which bears an Ordinance Survey Triangulation Pillar(Trig point).
As its name implies it was once used as a signalling point, the highest spot for miles around. It is also classified as one of the 1551 Marilyns in the British Isles.

A Marilyn is defined as a British hill which has a clear drop of 500 feet or 150m all round.

Bear this in mind when you visit the cache and see how much land now towers above this high point - all put there by man!

The area is fascinating, but not for its beauty! The enormous devastation caused by the Clay Industry becomes apparent. Depending on which way you drive to the suggested parking space, you will be able to see some amazing sights in the working clay pits.

The suggested car park is at N50º22.995, W004º49.535 and it is an easy walk of about half a kilometre to the cache.
The cache is a 2litre container with the usual trading items and a coin for the 'FTF'
