THE LUNCH:
Starting at 11:30am we will be having a BYOPL (Bring your own picnic lunch). Please bring a picnic lunch for each person in your party to enjoy while we are conversing amongst each other and preparing for the Egg Hunt. There are grills near the Pavilions that you may cook on if you would like to BBQ. There will be drinks and candy provided by us during this event.
THE HUNT:
We will have a “Geocaching” Easter Egg Hunt, using GPSr’s which may require some skill and agility. This Easter Egg Hunt is not like any other egg hunt, it's actually a race to see how many eggs a geocacher can collect within 45minutes of go time. Each Team will be given a list of the coords for each of the 48 eggs at 1:00 p.m. The “teams” are given 30 minutes to enter the coordinates into their GPSr’s and go time is at 1:30p.m. After you have found an egg, there will be a confirmation code inside, which is printed on sticker paper, that will need to be attached next to the number and coordinate of the eggs. The person or "team" with the most confirmation codes attached to their packets will win the authentic homemade trophy which also will have an un-activated travel bug attached. The eggs will not be placed back into their hiding spots after they are found, the geocaching teams will pick them up and drop them into their bags. If a person goes looking for an egg and doesn't see it right off, just know that somebody probably has already been at that spot and you need to move on. After 45 minutes are up and all Geocachers have been rounded up, the scores will be tallied and the trophy travel bug will be awarded.
There maybe another game that we play after the trophy has been awarded but that will have to be a suprise 
Chisolm Park offers many things that the entire family can enjoy. There is a nice playground for the kiddos and many concrete trails for walking and bike riding. Bring the friends and the family for a fun time with the North Texas Geocaching Crew!! Please RSVP with the number in your party as soon as possible so that we can get the right amount of drinks and enough “party favors” for all!!
