Geocache Description:

A traditional cache found after a mile and a half walk along the often muddy, northern bank of the disused Leven Canal.

The cache lies 1.5 miles (3 miles total trip) from the closest start point. This is at Sandholme Bridge (N 53°53.387 W 000°19.617) where limited parking is possible. Alternatively park in the New Inn car park (N 53°53.352 W 000°18.969) but pop in for a drink or a very reasonably priced meal. Set off along the footpath signposted 'Leven Lock'. This adds about a mile to the total trip.

The canal bank is usually muddy to very muddy wear appropriate footware.

This cache is a 2 litre plastic box originally containing:
a log book
a purple feathered ostrich pen
a map measurer
a Pocket Megasketcher and others...

From the cache site it is possible to cross the canal. Please DO NOT return along the southern bank it is not a public right-of-way.
