Geocache Description:

Lesjöfors is an old industrial community that has played an important role in Swedish iron industry. It dates back to 1642 when immigrant Finns got permission to set up a blast furnace in the vicinity. In 1675 the permission was granted for a hammer to be set up and around it the community of Lesjöfors was built up. Production of steel springs started in 1852 and has since been the speciality of the works.
At the museum an interesting collection of old and less old machines can be seen. The cache, a film canister, is hidden in one of them.
