The cache is in a black amo can and loaded with many goodies.
Please leave the copies of the ON THE EDGE brochure in the cache so
other cachers who failed to get one will know what TOKIO TROLLEY
means. Two ovals ( N 40 46.243 W 114 01.091 ) used in the training
of gunnery crews of the heavy bomber groups stationed at Wendover
during World War II can be seen from the cache. Also ( N40 46.032 W
114 00.758 ) the stationary concrete firing platforms and firing
pits are visible.
The cache is best accessed from I 80 Exit #4 four miles east of
Wendover. Drive north from the exit and turn left on the first
paved road. At the end of the pavement turn right onto the duel
dirt road and proceed to coordinates N 40 45.437 W114 00.315. From
here turn right and follow the dirt road north to the cache.
There are many dirt roads in the area so let your GPSR be your
guide. An automobile should be able to make it on the main road to
within easy walking distance of the cache. These roads are not
maintained so use good judgment. To visit the ovals, platforms and
pits a high clearance or 4X4 would be nice or just a short walk
will get you to them.
OH ! There is a cave of NoName in the area too, used in the
shooting of a popular action movie. Enjoy.
