Again, all is well with this cache. I checked on it today and while the area has changed to a concrete trail system, if you go to the posted cords(black light post to your right and left, be mid way between them), put the river to your back and go in 50 feet, you will find this ammo can with a little searching. It is not attached to anything anymore, it is not effected by floods, and it is sealed tight with a dry log book! This cache has been here for over 13 years, and old caches are getting pretty scarce. if you choose to search for this cache, and you do not find it, please just do your DNF, do not assume it is missing, 13 years is a long time for it to still be in it's place...

This is an ammo can cache located about 500ft down a well worn trail that borders the river. The trail head is in the far right corner of a large grassy area that is between the parking lot and the river. There are quite a few spots along the trail where you would expect to find someone fishing, although I never have.

**** OK, the exact location of this cache has changed. I have moved it from its original location to a spot on slightly higher ground. I have also secured it so it can't be washed away. All the talk of the river rising made me a little nervous. The grid coordinates are a little different, the cache spot is a bit further down the trail. They should take you to to a spot where the trail splits and ends on both sides. Actually the right side keeps going but a large tree fell on the trail a while back so it's blocked, the trail to the left just ends. The ground is a little sunken where the trail splits, this is where the grid coordinates take you. From here the cache is no more than 50 feet away. Please don't go any further than this from the trail. If you were to get turned around you would not be lost forever, but it would turn a short walk into a very long one! ******************************
