Geocache Description:

This cache takes you to a popular part of Cannock Chase with good views (i.e. on the hills!). It is a multi-stage cache, with two micro-caches to give you the three decimal numbers of each of the final cache co-ordinates. The final cache is a small lock-lid plastic box. Best take your own pen!

If you like the exercise, on foot or by bike, we suggest you park at the Freda’s Grave car park (co-ordinates above) or somewhere near – there are plenty of parking spots. Allow a couple of hours for a full walk, including exploring, playing (especially if the sun is out), photographs and of course searching.
Now you need to find the two portkeys, but remember how dangerous they are – you never know where you might end up if you grab a portkey.

Set off towards Freda’s grave, a poignant reminder of World War 1. You will find other relics from this time as well.
Portkey 1 is at N52 45.639 W002 01.846
These co-ordinates take you to a place where ancient, cold and powerful forces were once at work. The portkey gives you the last bit of N52 46.###

Portkey 2 is at N52 46.700 W002 02.237
Choose a sunny day and these co-ordinates will show you Old Magic of the highest and simplest kind. The portkey gives you the last bit of W002 01.***

You have now got the co-ordinates for the final cache. This is NOT a portkey and is perfectly safe.
It used to be an large ammo tin in a secluded and pleasant spot on the Chase. The ammo tin may still be there, buried deep, but now the area has been thoroughly trashed and is quite exposed.
