You've cached there - you've admired its beauty - now come help to maintain this jewel and re-open a trail that we all love.

Each month a different Santa Clara County Park has a "Trail Day" when volunteers come out to help maintain and rebuild trails. The April 23rd event is in Almaden Quicksilver County Park. Volunteers from a variety of community groups will do the last maintenance required to reopen the New Almaden Trail near the Senador Mine and Mine Hill Trail.

Activities will range from removal of non-native vegetation and trash to correcting erosion damage to the trail from the winter rains.

Come on out and help repair, restore, or rebuild our County Park Trails. No experience needed. Tools, gloves, & refreshments provided. Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and closed toed shoes. Contact with poison oak is always a concern, please take appropriate precautions, bring a change of clothes if necessary.

2005-04-02 Update: This year, CA Trail Days patches will also be given out, so don't miss it!

Geocaching attendees will receive a geocaching logo item.

Meet at the Castillero Intermediate parking lot at 9am. County-provided vans will take us up into the park from there. Tools, gloves, and refreshments provided by the County.

The event ends at 1pm.

Let's turn out in force - let the parks folks know that cachers are a great bunch of people!
