Geocache Description:

Warning! Coordinates will only take you to the parking area for Flame of Hope Park. Leave your GPSr in your vehicle to avoid any problems with base security. You will need to visit a few of the many monuments in the park to answer the questions below. Use your answers to find the coordinates to the cache.

Container is large ammo can located in Seatack community park only 1.3 miles from Flame of Hope Park. From the parking area in Seatack community park it is about a 1 mile round trip hike to the cache along an ATV trail with some pretty big mud holes. We were able to stay dry. Very little bushwhacking is required. Follow the first base line straight into the woods and you will run into the ATV trail. Follow the trail all the way to the cache. Cache is only 30 yards of the trail. Bring a stick to poke around and listen for the satisfying "thunk" from an ammo can! Please be sure to cover the cache well to hide from muggles. It should require poking with a stick to find it.

The Flame of Hope is a monument that was formerly dedicated on Friday May 22, 1972. It was originally intended to remain lit only temporarily until all the POW/MIA’s were returned home. Almost 50 years later the Flame of Hope still burns awaiting the return of all our POW/MIA’s. They shall not be forgotten.
