This is a wonderful island that has picturesque swimming on the far side. there is a nice pebble/rock beach and some beautiful mossy boulders. Bring a lunch and some towels.
I have been meaning to put a cache for a year or 2 now... So here ya go. A rope to help you to the river might be helpful, but not required. I walked across the log to get to the island but I warn you it is slick. Do not attempt this in flood stage or high water. Explore and enjoy the area, but most of all, BE CAREFUL! Only bring your dog(s) if they are agile and listen well. There is a highway nearby, and its steep.
The cache is bungeed in place to keep it in place in the event high water. Please hide it as you found it or better.
