Geocache Description:

Converted to a multi-puzzle cache 03/26/2005. First hide in series, but suggest doing second or third. Still very easy. Very close to trails.

The cache container is an approximately 5x5x8 plastic tub covered with cammo duct tape (see the picture). I added a few other starting items after taking the picture.

The paved trail is kind of busy, so some stealth is required.

You'll find signs along the paved trail in different places that say "Please enjoy this trail. This right of way is designated for possible future light rail transit and trail use."

Stage 1 is the sign at the posted coordinates.

To find stage two:
Take the Troop number from the sign and subtract 8. Muliply by two. Subtract the result from the starting coordinates North latitude decimal portion.
For the West longitude, take the last 3 digits from the phone number on the brown sign and divide by two. Subtract 38. This is the decimal portion of the longitude.

Stage two is a clear plastic 35mm film canister with the coordinates for the final stage in it. (Rocks and washers inside for weight, but no log or trades.)

This is my first hide. I hope you like it!

See also Mplwd LRT Trail 2 and Mplwd LRT Trail 3. Both have much better parking than this cache, and are within reasonable distance along the trail if you don't mind a bit of a walk or a short bike ride (2 miles and just under 1 mile away respectively).
