The lake level dropped after a “Big Slide (G4)" Link happened, making the Islands of Upper Lake into just another hill for most. As you approach this cache you will most likely come over another “hill” to get here.
Most Geocachers in the area are familiar with the Geocache named “It's bloody missing!”. No, the lake is not missing, just the plaque. And I’m sure there are many people who wish the name were missing also. To find out what is missing, & what it said, click here. Link

It’s a Bloody Shame that there is only one island in the area that people associate it’s existence as an island because of the misfortune that took place on it.
When on this island I like to imagine that the Native American Pomo Indian tribes that once lived here on this island enjoyed it as a peaceful place many years ago, as so many other people do now.
