Sarenne Traditional Cache
Mélotte: The small box is apparently gone. We live too far to provide for proper maintenance.
It were 12 very nice years, but it is time to archive the Sarenne cache.

This cache can be found either by hiking or skiing. UNFORTUNATELY WE WILL NO LONGER BE IN THE VICINITY OF ALPES D'HUEZ. AS THE CACHE NEEDS MAINTENANCE (A NEW CANISTER TO BE SCREWED AGAINST THE TREE), WE KINDLY ASK SOMEONE ELSE TO PROVIDE THIS AND, IF SO DESIRED ADOPT IT. WE WILL HAVE TO ARCHIVE THIS CACHE AS PER 1 SEPTEMBER IF NO MAINTENANCE IS DONE.
In winter this cache may be your reward after taking one of France's longest skiing decents. The slope is black but not too difficult.In summer a hike of approx. 3/4 hours from the small village of Huez will bring you there.
In both seasons you can rest in the cozy 'chalet'.
The canister does not contain a pencil, so please take one with you.

Small note on cache maintenance: This cache can be visited by us every 3 months, since we often visit friends that live nearby. Furthermore the nearby pub knows of the cache and could keep an eye on it.
