The Breidden Hills are a prominent range of hills near Welshpool. These caches, together with White Admiral on Rodney's Pillar, make up a superb triangular walk, with extensive views all around.
OS Explorer map Oswestry 240 required. Walking boots and waterproofs suggested.
The above co-ords. are for a possible parking place from which an ascent of Moel y Golfa can be made, but it is best climbed from the Breidden Inn at Middletown.(GR302124) Go up steep road opposite and take the path which goes SW from here to SW ridge of the hill; ascend this, sometimes steeply.
The cache is at N52 42.338, W003 03.094
It is in a small plastic tub.
Beware!- there are some steep drops near the top.
You will find the co-ords. for the middle cache written on the back of the usual geocaching notice.
From the middle cache you will find the co-ords. for the final cache.
These two intermediate caches are only suitable for small "treasure" but the final one is in an ammo box.
Look out for Teddy Bears Picnic table near the lake.
Ensure both intermediate caches are replaced upright with lids on tight, and all are fully concealed.
