Geocache Description:

Bring the kids and join us for an exciting Geocaching Get Together at Beech Fork Lake in Wayne County, West Virginia.

THE LUNCH:
Starting at 11:30am we will be having a BYOPL (Bring your own picnic lunch). Please bring a picnic lunch for each person in your party to enjoy while we are conversing amongst each other and preparing for the Egg Hunt. There are grills near the Shelter that you may cook on if you would like to BBQ. There will be drinks and candy provided by us during this event.

THE HUNT:
For the wee cachers we will be having an old fashioned Easter egg hunt. Each egg will have different prizes, such as little trickets, candy, and such. So bring the little ones along to enjoy the day. For the 'big' kids, We will have a “Geocaching” Easter Egg Hunt, using GPSr. This Easter Egg Hunt is a race and a prize for the person who collects the most confirmation codes from each 'egg' within 90 minutes of go time. At 12:45 p.m. each “team” will receive a list of coordinates to each hidden camouflaged egg. The “teams” are given 15 minutes to enter the coordinates into their GPSr’s and go time is at 1:00p.m. You will be released at 1:00p.m. to find each cache at the given coordinates. Some may be in trees, some maybe out in the open, and some may take only a geocacher to find. After you have found the cache, there will be a confirmation code inside that will need to be recorded next to the each of the cache coordinates on the paper given to you. Then the caches should be placed back into their hiding spots so that the next cacher can find them. After 90 minutes is up and all Geocachers have been rounded up, the scores will be tallied and the prizes will be awarded.

Beech Fork offers many things that the entire family can enjoy. There is a nice playground for the kiddos, a lake to do some fishing, and many trails for walking and bike riding. Bring the friends and the family for a fun time with the KYOWVA Geocachers!! Please RSVP with the number in your party as soon as possible so that we can get the right amount of drinks and enough “party favors” for all!!
