Geocache Description:

This cache is located in a neat little park dedicated to the battle of Franklin. It is beside two ancient picnic tables that appear to have come from the era when roadtrips were popular, and restaurants were scarce.

These tables are very close to extinct in these parts, and I was very lucky to find them in their natural habitat. While you are here, be sure to learn a little bit about the history of the area around the tables. If approached with enough care, the tables might even let you have lunch on them. It would be a great place for a picnic.

2-2-07 Update: It appears that the old tables have been removed. It is a shame, since they were a sort of reminder of the way things used to be, but nevertheless, I think the cache is still there. It wasn't ON the old tables, just near them. Good luck!
