Geocache Description:

Located in the Chuluota Wilderness Area

I wa out in the CWA today to replace my Mother Nature's Cache that had been buried by a couple of sand pines after the hurricanes. This is such a pretty area that I decided to put a couple of new caches out here today to entice people back to finish up Mother Nature, finally get around to looking for the Chuluota Nano (which is about .20 miles away froom this one) or come out for the first time and spend a few hours and log 9 caches from parking spot.

The trails have been cleared of debris and the going is pretty easy now. This cache is placed on the East loop which can be pretty moist during the summer months. The nice thing about it is the shade that is provided by the many trees. Here you will see a marked difference from the scrub area that makes up a lot of the West Loop trail.

The cache container is about a quart size, but the opening is probably only 2" in diameter. Please make sure you replace the lid to the cache securely so that it doesn't get soggy when the wetter season comes.

I got to see a couple of big gopher tortoises and one pygmy rattler today while I was on the trails. The rattler was just laying out in the middle of the sand trail trying to soak up some sun. I tried to get him to play, but he was very sluggish.
