Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the top of a pass on the route between Christchurch and the West Coast. Watch out for spaniards while searching - they are an extremely spiky long-leafed plant which can give one a nasty jab.

Please be careful when walking to the cache. The area has its own distinctive alpine flora (and fauna) which may be damaged by trampling. Keep to the paths as much as possible.

The cache is in a camouflaged 500 ml screw top hand creme container. When placed it contained a log book, pencil, sharpener, an assortment of badges, a cake of soap, a shower cap and 2 shoeshines.
