I placed this near an old fireplace that was part of the sawmill property. The local conservation commission has protected this area. Yeah! It is a great area to hike around in all year long. I love the winding trails and the fast running brook. There is an old fireplace and a stone bridge/dam all in the area as well. There are many places to park around the perimeter of the conservation area.
I often will park at the end of Sawmill Road. However, it is just a dirt road so be careful in the winter or if it has been raining. (Pictures in the gallery will show you why you can’t drive down the road in the winter.) Don’t forget to swing by The Old Golf course cache at N 42 31.532 W 071 10.622.
